is the code working and the project 

i cannot understand the stop and start pin since it iss connected to ground it will always be in low level state(means will always give 0 v at the output)

hello guys…please help me, I make a project about the microcontroller and our project is a liquid level alarm. All is ok. from hardware, the connection and also the code is ok. nothing errors. But when we start and supply voltage of 5 volts. Nothing display on the lcd, its just a backlight. Please help us, this is my first time to do in these kind of project. Thank you.

Sir may i use AT89S51 in place of AT89C51?????
Will there be any problem????And how many ports should i use for it??? Please reply fast..

Using AT89S51 instead of C51 will cause no problems…
