Hello guys I’ve a doubt regarding IR sensing circuit, I have a IR Transmitter LED and IR Receiver LED . But my circuit which is to detect interruption of ir signal to receiver is does not work. I was wondering if there’s a difference between the ordinary IR LED Receiver Pair and TSOP1738 – Infrared Sensor .

    Thanks

TSOP series sensors are completely different then ordinary IR receivers (photo diodes).

TSOP sensor only detects IR light of 30 KHz to 40 KHz light. they do not respond to simple IR light.

while photo diode detects normal IR light even.

read datasheets of TSOP sensors for detail
