can anyone give me a circuit diagram where an IC555 is interfaced with LDR?

How can we configure LDR in terms of frequency of light? Do I need another IC for that?

    Hi,

What kind of output you need fom the 555 IC based on the frequency of the incoming light? Please not that the LDR is can sense the intensity of the light, not frequency.

I want to have a square wave output whenver LDR senses light.

You could have the LDR interfaced with a comparator and the 555 configured in astable mode with a set frequency. The LDR can make the comparator output go high, when light falls on it, and power ‘on’ the 555 IC to outptut a square wave.

The LDR won’t detect the frequency of light though, only the intensity.
