Huawei Voice Data Fax UMTS-HSPA data-modem dongle E1731

I have been trying for a long time to configure the above mentioned
modem, with close-talk headphone&mic, and PC with a Debian system to
use the said combo as a calling computer.

Linux being Linux, there is an hyperdose of documentation. But with
minicom I can only send SMS and can ring someone else's mobile phone,
but can't let the call through. I have the list of AT commands.

But ultimately, I can't get my call through.

  and hope that you might help me ask you the right questions.

After I have called another mobile using minicom what do I need to do
to transfer-receive voice calls?

Could you please offer some suggestions?

I am an open-source enthusiast and any breakthrough will be informed
to the community.
