    Hi everyone!!

I'm working with ir communication using HT12E & HT12D encoder and decoder ic. But i'm having problem to set the clock section. i just used a wire from transmitter to reciever pin to check the function of the ic. but it's not working.if i use a wire to treansmit data which resistor i have to use to match the clock frequency?

    pls sugest .

    thank you.

Actually HT12E nad 12D are for RF …In order to use a IR LED you need to change the encoder to the HT12A series,

On the decoder side keep to use the HT12D

means u r directly connecting data output of HT12E to data input of HT12D using wire?

have u connected the ground wire?

if yes and still u r not getting output then there is miss match in address at both side. connect all address pins A0-A7 on both sides to ground.

    for matching clock frequency

at HT12E side use 1.1 M ohm resistor

at HT12D side use 51 K ohm resistor
