    hai,

the project i want to design is a wheel chair…for elderly people and it has to be controlled.i was unable to select what type of motors are to be selected..so that it comes almost to real time project…i.e motor that can have a load of a person….and also can you suggest me type of motor is best..among stepper motor, servomotor,dc motor.

    Hi Abhiran,

I think only the DC motors can perform with such heavy loads. Surely you can’t use a stepper motor since they usually come in very small size, low torque.

sir, what about servo motors? our guide suggested once go for servo motors.wil they support for more load.

can you tell me.for  load of a almost equal to person with weight 30kg….considering as example ..can you give me specifications for a dc motor.

secondly.if ex: load is 5kg…can you provide dc motor specifications like rpm, voltage, driving current required for load.

    Hi abiram,

the torque produced by the servo motor is same as the stepper motor ,servo motor is contaning gear assembli so controlling perpose servo motor is good .

The dc motor is high speed motor which speed is controlling by pulse width modulation.

thank you sir for guiding in  interfacing resistive touch screen to 2148.i suceccfully interfaced and i am getting readings also in serial terminal.

sir,i want to create a wheel chair with dc motors…i was unable to select motor regarding  rpm and how much voltage required to drive…..if

load == (wheel chair + person of 30kg) has to be handled by that dc motor..can you kindly suggest me the specifications of which type of dc motor has to  be selected.please sir.,,right now i interfaced 150rpm dc motor…its working..but i want to make project some what nearer to realistic.help me sir.

go for HUB motors.. they are brushless DC motors used for these wheel chairs and electric scootys

    thank you for guiding me….

i came to know on what basis we hav to select motor related to a application.
