how to open a file in pc with microcontroller

hi sir …..i hav a small doubt..”” is it possible to call a file which is in the system directory say for example ##–C:UsershomeDesktoptest1.txt–## with the micro controller……how to write the code for 8051 microcontroller..

sir actually an ir pair is connected to a micro controller when interrupt given it has to open the file in the pc …….is it possible

write a code to read data continuously from serial port and do the file operation.

Send data serially from microcontroller to pc.

Tis is just an idea, thing is that you have to write code on both pc and mcu.
