    hi,

This helps me a lot in increasing my knowledge in practical electronics circiuts.

“How to interface Sharp’s distance sensor with 8051 microcontroller (AT89C51)”

the above mentioned topic i selected for my mini-project.lcd displays the all messages.but it does not displaying distane(atleast approximate) on the LCD.even the distance value does not vary proportionally.I just copy the code from our site.

It really hurts me a lot.please give suggestions for measuring distance by changing proram or by any other means.

    Hi

If you are unable to see distance on LCD then it could be either a fault in circuit connection or it could be in the code as well. According to me the code written for this project, on EG, is correct so most probabaly the fault is related to connections in the circuit; check it out again. Also try adjusting the potentiometer connected to pin 3 of LCD, this is used to adjust the contrast value of LCD. Sometimes you don't get to see things on LCD screen even if contrast is zero.
