I have tried programming Atmega 16 to drive Futaba S3003 and another VTS Servo. But the Servo motor rotates only in one particular direction.

I have varied the Pulse width(on-off time) of the 20ms cycles. I tried 1ms, 1.5ms, 2ms of on-time and various other combinations for different positions as per Servo Motor’s specifications. The Servo should rotate is both clockwise as well as anticlockwise direction depending on pulse-width. But it rotates undirectionally. What’s the problem?  Reply soon…..

    Hi

I have read it's specification online; this kind of thing(servo moving unidirectionally) is not mentioned anywhere. I wonder if it is moving only in one direction then what is the potentiometer working for?

One thing that I need to ask you; when you give two consecutive commands of moving servo 90 degrees in one direction, does it rotate 180 degrees in total or just 90 degrees? Because if the latter is happening, then we can atleast confirm that pot is working fine.
