how micro controller design in company?

I am student I don’t have much knowledge on actual design process
how does any company like Intel design micro controller?
how do they decide what is suitable and what is not suitable?
how many people are involved in design process ?

I know its broad question I just need idea ?

Hi,

Microcontroller are designed for general purpose use, so companies try to include all the possible peripherals into a chip.

Intel is known for their microprocessor and not for microcontroller.
