How do i convert (12-230V) AC/DC to 5V DC?

How do i convert (12-230V) AC/DC to 5V DC? any suggestion?

You can use step down transformer (230V to 24V or something in your range) then connected to full wave rectifier followed by smoothing capacitor across it to get accurate dc and in the end, use voltage regulator to get 5v regulated supply.
