    Dear Friend,

Both GSM and Zigbee are good technolgies, u can use any one, main is that wha type of automation u wants, like: controlling of ac devices, security of home with camera or sensors, power saving modes, gate counters etc. So, its a good project for enetring the world of embedded system.

    Thanks

Noah , my suggestion is to opt ZigBee …. Main advantage of zigbee over GSM is that it has a bandwidth of 2.4 Ghz , the range is high compared to that of the GSM with 200 Mhz ….. The entire home appliance can be automated using this Zigbee , the range is high and cheaper for consumer electronics.
