Help trouble shooting a 7-segment strip?

Hey guys! I’m new here. I’ve got a 7 segment strip I pulled out from an old calculator. There are 12 7 segments in line each with a decimal/dot and apostrophe.There are 28 pins.

 

My goal here is to figure out how to use this. Does anybody know of a way to decipher which pins do what? I’ve played around with it a bit trying to find the appropriate ground and getting something to light up, but I have completely unsuccessful thus far. Does any body have any tips or experience with anythihng like this?

can you find out the part number?

if there is any part number find out its datasheet

 

or else if any manufacturer name given try to get details from manufacturer’s website
