HD1080p signal wireless transmission project

hello,

 

the project as described in the title is about transmitting an HD1080p signal,

this is my first project, i need some ideas to start : 

for instance the HD1080p is not compressed and need 1.5Gbps to be transmitted in HDMI cables , so do i need to compress it first to sent it , or i can send it like this using a wireless communication that allow this speed ( i am sure wifi and Zegbee does not allow such a speed )

and also will i need to use a DSP ( data signal processor ) ? or i can use arduino or pic 

and what should i do to start the study such a project? steps for the study and if you can provide me with some documentation

Is it not possible that you store the data somewhere and buffer it later from the storage device with a low speed
