Hardware/Coding Help for WiFi Weight Scale

I wanted to use an Arduino Uno for this project and to also purchase TI’s CC3000 WiFi module for this project but not sure if there’s better options out there.

Let me know if you guys have any insight on this type of project. I know its something that’s already commericalized but wanted to try making my own.
