the main problem i face with avr is the fuse bits.. i actually dunno wat fuse bits are and why we shld set it? and how we can determine those fuse bits?

    for example

my frnd did a proj on rfid he set the fuse bits as

    • High Fuse = C9 (hex value)
    • Low fuse =FF (hex value)

is this a standard fuse bit seting for all programms and proj using 16mhz crystall??

there is nothing called as standared for fuse bits…

there are some configuration bits provided by the company so that you can use the chip according to your requirement…

like you you want to use JTAG then when you will not able able to use PORTC(some of the pins)… or vice versa… so to configure that some bits are providded by the company…

see all the 16 bits how its is done forr 0xC9FF… adn further if get any problem ask where xtlly you got struct…(reffer data sheet)
