    Hi everyone,

I am new to microcontroller programing. I am using ATmega32 for my work and default AVR run with 1MHz internal clock. But I want my AVR should run with external crystal clock. I tried a no of times but I got my AVR dead and it’s too much frustrating for me. I am using AVR studio 4 & 6 with AVRISP programmer. Any Body may help me for correct way to programm fuse bit for 16MHz external crystal for clock.

Fuse bit Settings in order to make your microcontroller run at 16MHz using external crystal.

    High fuse=0xC9

    Low fuse=0xFF
