    Hi Saurav,

Can you share, which finger print module you got. Generally Finger print module are available with UART interfac(RS232 Communication), SPI interface and weigand protocal inerface. If your selected finger print module have any of these interfaces, you can easily connect it to ATMEGA128. Please mention the interfaces available on your finger print module to get help on block diagram.

Actually for the block diagram i meant to say that do i need any other dvices or ICs to interface with the microctroller for proper functioning of the entire circuit or simply the circuit that you provided will do the work ? if you search Finger print based attendance system with 8051 microcntroller in internet you will find many IC such as Max232 ,and many other used in circuit, do I need all of those things here ?

This the diagram which you will find… do i need these MAX 232, LM 358,or any other external device for my project ? Iwill be using Arduino UNO kit for doing this project

    Hi Saurav,

The above circuit explains the functionaliy of access control & time attendence using fingerprint module. What exactly is your end application? If you want only finger print module to interface to microcontroller, then there is no need of MAX232. In the above circuit MAX232 is used to display the information on PC & LM358 is an comparator and it is not recommended unsless you need it in your application. Kindly explain your actual application & share further doubts.

    Thanks Amrith

That’s the only doubt i was having that whether i need those external circuit or not, you explained it… Thanks…

But the problem which i am now facing is that, I am using Arduino Uno board for frpgramming, while downloading the file into the board it says avrdude: stk500_getsync(): not in sync: resp=0x00 .

Can you help me out of this?
