    Hi,

I need to build a wireless distance measurement system to measure the distance between  one fix point and a moving object and they will not be in a single line always. The object may be any side of the fix point . The distance may vary from 1 meter to 300 meters depending on the object placement.I am finding a proper sensor  for this purpose.

Please suggest any sensors which will be suitable for my application.

    Thanks.

    Hi

Sounds like you are looking for something similar to a radar system. If yes, then you should check out this project:

    http://www.engineersgarage.com/contribution/arduino-based-ultrasonic-radar

Although such ultrasonic sensors(used in above project) have limited range but it can be replaced with something that measures upto 300m.

I think you will have to look out for some industrial strength type sensors for the same.

    Hi Ganeev,

I have used this and it is only  for 4 t0 5m. So I am searching for a long range sensor.

Do you know any sensor like this?
