i’m working on my circuit design which comprises mostly of logic gates.. however.. i’m having a problem with the part where i should connect a buzzer, led and the other line of a single and gate to the arduino which will then control the gsm shield.. i can’t simulate the buzzer coz may be of the weak signal generated by the logic gate (?).. is there any suggestions of what can i do to activate the buzzer?

    Hi Sam,

Always use a transistor to drive devices like buzzer, loudspeaker, motor etc.

Use an NPN transistor, connect the output of the circuit to the base of the transistor using a resistor not less than value 1K. Connect the collector of transistor to VCC, and the emitter to ground through the buzzer.
