February 13, 2011 at 6:20 am #5521 NickParticipant Capacitor has a tendency to block DC, so DC will not have any effect over it.Capacitor just acts as an open circuit for DC source. But in practical cases, since the capacitive reactance won’t be inifite, the capacitor will start discharging through load (if present).
