Hi Chester,
Emulators are just waste of money. It can affect the performance of the controller when connected, and it will interfere with the communication lines and hence sometimes give wrong result which will be totally confusing.
As far as I’ve experienced the led indicators and reading the required data through the serial port are the better debugging methods.
