Automatic railway gate

Hi all

I am working on automatic railway gate project using RF transmitter. Currently we are at initial stage and decided to use RF transmitter on the train and a receiver on the gate and we are using 8051 Microcontroller for it.

Would some one please help me to design its circuit

and can we try Laser instead of IR?

any kind of help will be hugely appreciated

Why do u have to use IR when you’re using RF? 

The circuit for RF is given on this site.. simply refer that and design your project.

 

If you need anythng specific, please let me know.

btw your project idea sounds nice.

LASER requires line of site.
also it requires precise alignment with sensor
it can not be used.
