i am making a model for automatic railway gate crossing as my final year project . i am using 89c51 microcontroller and IR sensors to detect train incoming and outgoing. for gate closing and opening i am using stepper motor.

can anyone give me any suggestion about this project and its C code?

if you are familiar on utilizing a ladder diagram, this will make your project easier, since this types of diagram is commonly used for industrial motor controller, i suggest you to start in making functional block diagram just to segregate different circuit you will be going to use.
