Arduino connection to GSM module

I have connected Arduino UNO to SIM300 gsm module. but whenever I send a text message to it, it doesn’t respond. However it is able to send me a text message. I am worried now.

As a one part is working there may be problem with your code check with it. Go through with some tutorials in sending a text message.

that means u r able to send SMS but not able to read SMS

may be ur GSM is reading but ur micro controller is not able to get the command

use AT commands to read SMS from GSM modem
