AC Switching Using MOSFET

Hello,

I want to switch AC  230 V,4 A using DC  5 V to 10 V  .Is it possible to use power MOSFET for swiching purpose ?

Is there any alternative solutions ?

for potential free contacts you can use relays. just very short and simple.

or otherwise u can use TRIAC or SCR or any other thyristor as IGBT

MOSFET is for DC operation not for an AC operation
