Electronics › Electronics › About a capacitor filter value
A 12V, 1A DC adaptor giving a Ripple Factor (RF) = 0.8 and I have to bring it RF= 0.1 (nearly). What should be the capacitor filter value put at output (parallel to load) to get RF= 0.1. Please give any relevent formula.
Why don’t you google it!

Practically as the value of capacitor increases the ripple factor decreases. A 100uF capacitor will give you fair enough ripple free output and a 1000uF capacitor will give you almost pure DC (almost 0 ripple factor) in rectifier circuits.
