Hello Guys. I am currently in problem with at89c51 and at89c51rd2/ed2.

I did the project on breadboard and on PCB but neither are working the reset and connecting to pc via Serial (timeout error).

I did several test on breadboards but i think i am failing something.

    With At89c51 i put pin on 9,and on At89c51rd2 pin 10.

but neither are working the reset…

Do you guys know something about it?

And before someone answer…(Yes i already tried to search about it. but unsuccessful, nothing helped).

Check whether you connect pulldown resistor to the ground and capacitance to 5v?

yes, it is giving 5.08v with transformer power supply and with dc supply 4.98v

I put an led as indication of power on.

but shouldn't the reset button do power off and power on?

yes, when i try to communicate with computer, i press the button and it happens Nothing at all.

when you press the button reset it should shortcircuit to ground and to the time until capacitor charges down (or up) and after that it turns on.

That's what i am thinking, but maybe i am wrong. that's why i am needing some Insight here.

It is my fifth try of this board, and can't figure it out.
