I’m old to electronics, but new to microcontrollers.  I’ve started learning about them with Arduino, but believe the

8 candidate quiz buzzer using 8051 microcontroller (AT89C51)

would be a GREAT project to create for my high school teachers.  2 questions:

    1)  Can I program the AT89C51 on my Arduino UNO?

    2)  If not, how CAN I program it to make this oh-so-useful circuit?

Thanks, and sorry for being so clueless about this field,

    Hello,

You cannot program the microcontroller using the Arduino board. However you can use the concepts given in the project to be developed on the Arduino platform.
