I want to use 7805 voltage regulator to supply my circuit with 5v but thr output of 7805 is 4.65v not 5v is this normal?,what’s the reason and how to solve this?
just check ur circuit works or not?
is it like ur circuit needs exact 5 V not even 0.3 V less.
how ever the reason behind this is ur circuit is sinking more current then 7805 can source.
this is normal and usual.
Hi,
0.3 to 0.5 voltage drop is usual. This is becuse of two possible reasons.
1. Insufficient power input
2. More power sinking from 7805
In first case, measure the input voltage accross 7805 if it is enough or not.
For 2nd case, use metallic case 7805 which is having higher current capacity.
Hi!
As Dishanth and Bhatt mentioned here, this problem may be due to insufficient power supply or more power sinking from 7805.
You may get some more detailed idea about 7805 voltage regulator by reading the post – How 7805 Voltage Regulator Circuit Works?
Once check this! I think you can get more idea about it.
Thank you all,
