thank you sir for your valuable comments..

but sir, actually we are using 8051 micro controller, so we need to interface this IR sensors with the micro controller

and when ever the beam between the sensors gets break, a message from the micro controller should be sent to the receiver inside the car, so for this we have to use a transmitter at the controller too,..

and I thought of placing a IR transmitter at the other end of controller to send the messages, but sir can we send the message even if the IR transmitter and receiver(inside the car) are not in the same axes???
If not ,then what is the alternative for this sir??

can we use any other transmitter to transmit the message ??
