I have taken Step Input because G(s)=a/(s⁰)(s+a)

comparing above two equations…

 

Time Constant (T)= (1/ ??_n)

 

?_n= ?a rad/sec.

 

2??_n= 1 or

 

?= 1/2(?a)

 

so Time Constant(T)=0.5
