I am trying to control the ac input voltage using triac and optocoupler interfaced to microcontroller. I am generating pulses at one of the ports of the microcontroller which i want it to be used as input pulse to the optocoupler. is there anything i have to connect to before connecting it to the optocoupler ? i am using moc3041 optocoupler .
