The name Bluetooth charger is really confusing, because bluetooth is nothing but a name of communication protocol using RF tehnology. If you said RF battery charger or Microwave battery charger it would have been OK.
If you think a bluetooth device can perform the function of an RF transmitter for charging a battery, then I doubt it for the following reasons,
– Bluetooth is designed for short distance, LOW POWER communications.
– If you need to operate any electronic component at the receiving end, you need higher transmitting
power in Watts
– A blutooth device will continuously send signals, only when it got connected to another such device,
and there is actual data transmittion between them
– If you think, your battery charger can be made bluetooth capable, then it should have another battery
operating on full charge, powering the battery charger’s bluetooth module alone. And such a system
dosen’t have any advantage over the existing system. Because one can ask, why dont you simply use
that fully charged battey to charge the other one.
Anyway, your project topic is very exciting. And I’m sure you will learn a lot of things during the course of this project.
