Hi Daniel,
The output from an LDR not only depends on its own features but also the lighting conditions of the environment in which you are using it.
My point is that you can use any commonly available LDR, all of them have resistance at a given lighting condition in a particular range only.
When you install the circuit at any place the variable resistor at the input of LM339 allows you to adjust the circuit’s response.
