give the ports output to h bridge(L293d).for pin number 2,7,10,15(if you are using 2 motors).then connect motors to pin number 3,6,11,14 respectively.

In program if you give 00 or 11 off state

                                  10           one direction

                                   01          opposite direction (*for each motor )

 Repeat the above for other motor too……..
